The novel The Price of the Miracle received significant media and public attention for openly revealing the psychological struggles faced by families battling infertility. In 2014, there was still no law on assisted reproduction in Lithuania.

The Price of the Miracle is a story about a young couple who call Melbourne home. To experience the miracle of new life, Thomas and Diana must sacrifice more than they ever imagined. The story follows the rollercoaster journey the couple endures in their quest to have children. Simple things will no longer be simple: love will turn into despair, and making love will become making babies. Medical interventions will become necessary, and difficult decisions will have to be made.

The narrative weaves through the stunning landscapes of the Australian continent, where Diana and Thomas encounter colourful characters. It then shifts to modern Singapore, where Thomas is building a successful career, and concludes in the city of London, where Diana finally accepts the price she has to pay for the miracle of new life.
