Ema and her loyal French bulldog Mars are back for another adventure, this time in Australia. This is the second book in the Ema and Mars series, following The Mystery of the Canary Islands. Both books can be enjoyed as standalone stories or as part of the series.

Life without adventure isn’t life at all!” declares thirteen-year-old Ema. So when she gets the chance to visit Magnetic Island in Australia, she’s all in.

Deep in the island’s bushland, Ema and her loyal French bulldog Mars stumble upon a mysterious courtyard marked with an infinity symbol. Inside lies a dust-covered, crumbling device, and on a stone wall, a puzzle carved in the shape of an eight-petaled flower.

Ema and Mars are eager for the challenge, but solving the island’s clues proves harder—and far more dangerous—than they ever imagined. Why is it called Magnetic Island? Does it really pull like a magnet—or is something much deeper hidden there?
